Kit is brilliant. It speaks so well about things that are hard to put into words, both big and small in equal measure (the connections and gradients between big and small, framing and revealing the awe in both). …So many words, phrases, ideas, asides, details and perspectives just connect you directly to a feeling of trying on somebody’s mind, that is so honest in its humanness that you recognise your own world in it… I’m thinking in a bit of wonder just about what a book like this actually is. No easy answers; an immune response?, a flood of enzymes / cytokines, a release of hormones (messages for other parts of the body, delivered by blood). Something powerfully organic and communicative at least. It is a beautiful piece of art and a potent wee piece of medicine for people to chance upon when they need it most. (Dr Dave K.
